Better bones need better balance! Osteoporosis ca $Better bones need better balance! Osteoporosis can really push you off centre in terms of your mindset and sense of self. Improving your physical balance can also help you feel more like yourself again. We want balance both in terms of actual balancing skill and balance in terms of our workout routines, our time and energy, our focus on bone density, agility and responsiveness AND our internal sense of stability and safety. If you're feeling overwhelmed and confused about your osteoporosis diagnosis, let me help you find some confidence and calm. A Whole Body Approach to Osteoporosis: from fear of fracture to moving with confidence is back! Want to play with the sequence? Make sure you have something to grab as needed. A wall, a chair, a sturdy piece of furniture, whatever will help you do this safely as you adapt, get stronger and gradually improve your balance! Try 6-8 head nods and turns and then 15-30 seconds of eyes closed with your left foot in front, then again with your right foot in front. Working our balance is one of the most important things we can do to protect our bones, avoid falls and fractures and stay strong and agile so we can do all the fun stuff we love without stressing about our osteoporosis.
